  • Confused by the difference between digital printing and offset printing?
  • Wondering which is best – and cheapest - for your job?

Nethercott Press is here to help!

At Nethercott Press, we have our own in-house digital and offset printing presses, so we'll help you choose the best way to produce your:

and other printed materials.

We also have our own 'copy center' with high speed photocopiers, so if that's the best and cheapest option, we'll tell you!

Digital printing: quick and easy for short run printing

Digital printing is the perfect way to produce short runs (low volumes) of full-colour printing such as reports, presentations, college dissertations, business tenders and almost everything in between!

With digital printing, you simply send us an artwork file, or we create one for you, and within a matter of minutes, we can produce multiple copies in vibrant colours on a variety of papers. At Nethercott, we have the latest in digital press technology, including our super-fast Konica Minolta C6000 Digital Press, capable of printing up to 71 pages a minute.

Offset printing: best for large quantities of printed fliers or brochures

Offset printing is the traditional way to produce high-quality brochures, flyers, posters and business stationery such as business forms. With offset printing, (sometimes known as litho or lithographic printing), every job has rich, deep colours available on a wide variety of papers, since offset printing uses liquid inks rather than 'dry' toners.

Once the print job is dried, it can be cut, trimmed, folded, stitched or stapled into whatever you require, from a simple folded brochure to a multipage catalogue or wiro-bound calendar. Offset printing offers tremendous economies of scale, so the more you print, the cheaper per item!

Our offset printing press offers you true versatility in your print work, from economical spot colour through to numbering, perforating and die cutting. We have also invested in the latest offset presses, so our service is efficient, cost-effective, and remarkably speedy!

Digital printing or photocopying?

If you're looking for traditional copying services, we do this too! Modern digital printers are the highly evolved grandchildren of those old photocopiers we knew and loved(!). So, you can bring us your reports or dissertations to be copied either in hard copy (printed out) or as a file via email, or burned on a CD-ROM disc. See the send your artwork page for full details of the file formats we accept.

If all of this sounds a bit techie, and all you want is to photocopy a few pages or documents, our high-tech copier machines will copy in black-and-white with speed and clarity, without those long waits in line at High Street copy stores and copy shops.

For copying, printing or just some good old-fashioned free advice, call Nethercott Press at 519-537-3082.
